Snapshot of Tyce What reminds you of your pet? Christmas time reminds me of my dog because we got him on Christmas Eve as a present.
The name of my dog is Tyce. He is three years old Labrador that is yellow and white. Gold is the color of his eyes. His paws have always been large for his size. Hardheaded as can be he only listens to my dad, but is very loving and likes attention. Also he is playful, rough, and hyper at times. My dog also likes to swim, watch TV, and acts like a person.
One day my dog, Tyce, had become very ill. That weekend he wasn’t eating or drinking. This caused him to become dehydrated. Since it was the weekend the vet was closed. Dad got a dog IV bag from a friend that used to be a veterinarian. When he returned back home with the IV bag it was time to inject Tyce with the fluids. Mom helped my dad put the needle in the back of Tyce’s neck as told. While my dad did his part while my mom and I did our part to keep him comforted him. About fifteen minutes was all it took to empty the bag of fluids into Tyce’s neck. Next my dad took the needle out of his neck. Afterwards he looked like he had a mountain of fluids on top of his neck. Then we let him up but it wasn’t easy for him to walk because of all the liquids in his neck. On Sunday morning he seemed to be recovering and the lump of liquids had absorbed into his body. Later that evening Tyce started to get worse again. As soon as the vet opened the next morning my dad took him in. Tyce was so weak we had to carry him into the vet. They said he had an intestinal infection and that he needed to stay there for a couple of days. After three days had passed the vet called and said he was healthy enough to go back home. When we got there to pick him up he was excited and joyful. The vet had told us that he had to eat just chicken and rice for two weeks. Finally with great relief the vet said he had fully recovered and has been healthy ever since. It was great to have him back home acting like his normal self.
